Logic CMX provides two methods for updating website content. The traditional page editor within the Website tab of the admin, or the Live Edit feature that allows a logged in admin user to edit content directly from live website pages by calling up edit modals when clicking on selected content blocks. This is an effective technique for websites that require frequent updates to live content.
How to Use Live Edit
1. Login to the Logic CMX admin using your email and password.
2. Look for the Live Edit control in the top right portion of the admin header and enable.
Switch Live Edit to on position
3. Go to the front-end website home page and refresh the browser. A live edit pane with on/off switch is now displayed at the top of the website. This is only visible to users logged into the LogicCMX admin. Switch the Edit Page button on so it is highlighted.
Switch Edit Page to on position
4. Mouse over content on the page. Sections that can be edited will highlight and display an edit button. See example below.
5. Select the Edit button and an editor modal will appear allowing content and settings to be updated.
6. Save changes. Or select the "X" at the top right of the modal to close the edit modal without saving changes. Saved changes will display immediately on the live site. Refresh the browser window if necessary.
Please note that the Live Edit option is global for all admin users. Non-admin users cannot see the edit pane or live edit modals. But all active logged in admin users will see the edit pane when browsing.
